Aug 28, 2017 Summer came and summer went! I have been enjoying a little bit of time off since the end of July, when I finished my mammoth tour of 72 concerts in two months. I have still been doing a few performances here and there though, most notably I'll be performing most Wednesday nights at a local pizza joint called Pizzeria Da Lino. They have legit Italian pizzas and other amazing food and beer. The second song in the series of original songs written for local schools has been released on iTunes. Children's Garden (featuring the Children's Garden Montessori School) is now available anywhere you can purchase downloadable music. The proceeds raised will go to the Adelante Program here in Santa Fe, which supports homeless children and families. Thanks for visiting and look for more updates soon! Feb 28, 2017 Hello!...just a quick note to update the Little Earth fundraiser. We have now, through downloads and donations, reached our goal of raising $500.00! I'd like to thank the parents and teachers of the Little Earth School for their support in helping us reach this goal. I'd also like to give a HUGE shout out to The Professional Business Women of Santa Fe and to H and R Block for their VERY generous donations to the cause. Jan 11, 2017 Well that was a long break!....that is what happens when you have a new baby...right? Anyhow, so good to be updating the website again. As usual, a lot of amazing things are happening. The 2017 summer tour is coming together nicely with 53 dates in four states booked so far. There is still room for a few more, so if you'd like me to visit your town let me know soon. The feeds on Pandora just keep growing and growing with my music being played now over 36 Million times on over 70,000 stations. Wow, just wow. I got invited to play my first ever concert in California with an invitation to perform at McCabes Guitar Shop in Santa Monica on April 2. I am really looking forward to that show. I am now the music teacher at the Little Earth School in Santa Fe, NM and in November I released a song that I wrote and recorded with the kids and the staff of the school titled Little Earth. The song is on iTunes and CD Baby and we are using the proceeds to purchase 10 ukuleles for the school. Thanks for visiting the website and look for more updates soon. April 26, 2016  Hello!....so many amazing things going on right now. I have released my first physical CD in 7 years. It is made up of songs that have been recorded in various locations over the last 9 years. I am very proud of this album and I hope you enjoy it too. My wife and I welcomed our new baby girl Juniper to the world on April 13 and mama and baby are doing fine. I have been finalizing dates for the 2016 SRP tour and I now have 55 confirmed dates in NM and TX for this summer. I'll be bringing the new CD, new music, and another set of brand new harmonicas in the key of C to give away at each show courtesy of Hohner Harmonicas. Also brand new on youtube is a video for the song Spring Chicken where I may or may not be dressed in a chicken suit! I have hit 60,000 total views on youtube, my music is playing on more than 60,000 stations on Pandora and has been played a whopping 30 MILLION times since 2009. Such a pleasure to be able to teach the 6th graders of Roswell, NM how to play the Ukulele. Mountain View...you're next! Thanks for visiting the website and look for more updates soon. January 18, 2016 Well, that is far too long to leave between blog posts and I promise to post at least once a month in 2016. I have been busy though. In October, I taught 230 6th graders at Sierra Middle School in Roswell, NM how to play the ukulele, performed at festivals in Clovis, NM, Odessa, TX and Roswell, NM and recorded several new tracks for the new album. In November, I took a little time off before performing 16 concerts in December. Since the beginning of 2016, I have been teaching another 220 kids how to play the ukulele this time at Berrendo Middle School in Roswell and taking bookings for the upcoming SRP tour in June and July. I have 46 bookings so far and I am hopeful of a few more. Oh, and I also moved to Santa Fe, NM! My family and I are loving getting to know our new surroundings here in Northern New Mexico. August 6, 2015 I have been enjoying a nice break after performing 60 concerts in June and July and traveling from New Mexico to Colorado and Wyoming and back and then on to Dallas, TX for the final three concerts of the summer. Thank you to everyone who came out to all the libraries and sang along, danced, bought CD's, books, donated to The Smile Train, and gave me a high five! My favorite part of the summer was giving away 60 harmonicas from Hohner, to the kids who came up and played it with me, most of them playing a harmonica for the first time! Amazing news! We have OFFICIALLY donated $10,000.00 to the Smile Train! The latest donation of $250.00 put us over the top and allowed us to pay for our 40th child to have the cleft palette surgery. Thank you so much to everyone involved in the recording of the song, the making fo the video, the production of the Smile book, and to those who have bought copies of the song or book, or just donated.....YOU are making the world a better place one smile at a time! I am back in the studio with Mike Davidson recording more material for the new album which, hopefully, will be out by next summer. On Pandora, my music has reached over 25 MILLION spins and is now playing on over 51,000 stations....something I never, ever could have imagined when I first started recording music for children back in 2007. I hope 2015 is a fantastic year for you. 2014 was a year of change for me with moves to Mexico, the UK, and the birth of my son Lennon....who has already begun to inspire my songwriting with the joy and excitement a new baby brings. Planning for the 2015 summer tour is underway and I can now confirm I'll be in Albuquerque, NM for 10 concerts in the middle of July as well as my usual visits to Lubbock, TX, Roswell, NM and of course Clovis and Portales, NM to name a few! Empty is based on the children's book "The Story Of A Box" by Joshua Belter. Enjoy! February 14, 2014  Wow! I cannot believe it has been so long since I last posted something here. So many things have happened in the past few months that one post won't be enough to cover it all, but here is a quick summary: Work has continued on recording new material, the single Kakawate Road was released in January and is raising money for Meals on Wheels programs in New Mexico and Texas, Everybody Likes Pizza, the book! was released just before Christmas and it would not have been possible without the beautiful work of illustrator Chris Beach, I had my first ever pub gig in England at the Black Lion in Surbiton and we had a great time, the video for "Empty" which is being made by Dusty Deen, (still above) is nearly done and will up on youtube soon, and the biggest change of all is that I have moved to Puebla, Mexico! I am here to work on my Spanish, learn some new songs and perhaps record some of them...in Spanish, por supuesto! Don't worry, I will still be visiting libraries this summer in New Mexico and Texas. The summer tour will be a little bit limited but there will be nearly 30 concerts in June and July. Check out the 2014 tour schedule at the top of any page to see if I'll be coming to your town. August 13, 2013  Back from Alaska and what an awesome experience it was! I am so grateful to all the libraries who invited me to share my music with their kids. We have met some really amazing people, seen and done some incredible things and eaten the best fish I have ever had. The fun continues in Anchorage this week for a series of 6 concerts. Anchorage is Alaska's biggest city with a population around 300,000 which is remarkable when you consider there are only about 700,000 people in the whole state! January 6, 2013  Busking in Queenstown, New Zealand December 27, 2012 Feeling very grateful and relaxed after a busy December and a beautiful Christmas with my family. As I look back on 2012 with gratitude and forward to 2013 with hopes and aspirations there are two things I'd like to share. First, a huge thank you to my sister-in-law who offered to forego her birthday present for a donation to Smile Train which allowed us to pay for our 10th surgery since the release of "Smile". Over $2,500.00 has been raised through sales of the song and tip jar donations by people all over the world. Thank you! The "Smile" video did not win for Best Video at the New Mexico Music Awards (the winning video was by Jo Amber) but I am happy that I have now been nominated twice and will keep trying until I get a win! Apr 8, 2012 It was a great week for raising money for Smile Train. A HUGE thank you goes to the Clovis High Plains Rotary Club for allowing me to present the story of "Smile" and for donating $15.00. The generosity continued while I was performing at Grace O'Malley's in Ruidoso, NM where donations in the tip jar totalled $184.00!, the most ever for a single gig! Ingleburn Library Campbelltown, NSW Dec 21, 2011 The Christmas tour finished with an outstanding sing-along at the Yam Theatre in Portales, NM. 25 performances in just 16 days has left me tired but happy. Nearly 100 people attended the final performance of "A Brief History Of Christmas Music" and we raised nearly $200.00 for the Main Street Project. In November I performed 6 concerts in England and also made a quick three day trip to France to visit my brother Paul, who is an artist in St. Tropez. After returning home and resting for a few days I set out on the road to begin the Christmas program tour. So far, I have been to Lubbock, TX. Santa Fe, NM and Lamesa, TX. This week I'll be in Roswell, Artesia, Los Lunas and Albuquerque, NM as well as James Elementary in Portales. This Sunday Dec 18, at 2 pm I'll be on the campus of Eastern New Mexico University in Buchanan Hall recording a LIVE performance of the Christmas program. All are invited to attend. I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on KSFR 101.1 in Santa Fe with Donna Howell on her "Gotta Dance" program and also with Rooney and Moon on Mix 107.5 in Clovis, NM. To my surprise I was recently honored by the Roosevelt County chamber of commerce as the volunteer of the month for December 2011. Thanks to everyone who has come out to the shows and supported me.
